I have an MTD Yard Machines lawn tractor with a 12.5 hp Briggs and Stratton engine. I've been working on it quite a bit, fixing things here and there. I have one issue that's keeping me from finally getting to use it again. When I try to release the clutch on this tractor, the engine stalls out every single time. I can start it and let it run just fine, but when I try to move either direction it shuts off. This tractor has a brand new battery, starter solenoid, and spark plug. I've also recently cleaned the carburetor once or twice. I have a feeling there is something wrong with a safety feature somewhere... but if anyone could give me some advice on how I could target and fix this, it would be greatly appreciated. :smile:
